Paul LaPrade: I'm a Masters student in Rhetoric and a TA in the First-Year Composition program at the University of Texas at El Paso. This blog, which is part of a class project, focuses on the negative consequences of the KXL pipeline extension. I look at how the project has been framed by corporate interests and compromised politicians as a major economic boon, when it is really an export pipeline with serious consequences, both environmentally and economically.
